Privacy Policy
Camely is an offline-first, on-device finance and life planner. Your financial and planning data stays on your device. Camely does not transmit your financial or planning records to a Camely server — we don't require an account, we don't show ads, we don't use analytics or trackers, and we don't sell or share your financial behavior. If you make a purchase, that is handled through Google Play Billing, which may exchange technical billing and subscription information with Google. And you may create or share backup files that you control.
1. Who this policy covers
This policy applies to the Camely mobile app. Our marketing website (camely.app) is a simple informational site. Camely does not intentionally collect personal information through the website and does not use analytics or tracking. The website loads some resources (such as web fonts) from third-party providers; in the course of serving those requests, those providers may receive ordinary technical request information (for example, an IP address and browser user-agent), as happens with any web request. Camely does not use this information for tracking or advertising.
2. Data you create in Camely, and where it lives
When you use Camely you may enter: transactions and balances; accounts and spaces (Abroad / Home / Future); remittances, bills, budgets, goals, plans, tasks, reminders, and journal entries; and profile details (a display name, a chosen avatar, or a photo you add).
All of this is stored only in a local database on your device. Camely does not automatically transmit these records to us or to any third party, and Camely does not include cloud sync. We cannot see this data.
3. Smart Capture (receipt images)
If you use Smart Capture, you choose a receipt photo (camera or gallery). Camely reads the amount from the image on your device (on-device processing) so you can review and confirm it — the image and its contents are not uploaded to us or any server. Camely never records a transaction from an image without your confirmation. By default the image is removed after you post the transaction; it is kept on your device only if you turn on "keep the receipt photo," in which case it stays attached to that expense on your device. Images are stripped of embedded EXIF metadata.
4. Backups you control
Camely lets you create encrypted backup files and save or share them wherever you choose (a folder you pick, or a copy you share). Backups are encrypted with a passphrase you set — only you hold it, and we cannot recover it or read your backup. A backup contains the app data described in Section 2; it does not include your App Lock setting or Premium/entitlement status (those are stored separately in device secure storage). Creating, restoring, moving, or deleting a backup is entirely your action; backups are never sent to us.
5. App Lock and device security features
If you enable App Lock, Camely uses your device's own biometric or screen-lock through the operating system. Camely stores only an on/off preference (and an auto-lock timing) in your device's secure storage — it does not store your fingerprint, face data, or passcode.
6. Purchases and subscriptions (Premium)
If and when Camely offers a paid Premium subscription, purchases are processed through Google Play Billing. Your payment information is handled by Google and is not provided to Camely — we do not collect, receive, or store your payment card, bank, or billing details. Google's processing of your payment is subject to Google's own terms and privacy policy.
To determine whether Premium is active, Camely may receive and store minimal purchase/entitlement metadata — for example a product identifier and the purchase/subscription status or expiry — in your device's secure storage. This metadata contains no payment details, is used only to confirm entitlement, and is not included in your .camely backups.
7. Network use
Camely is offline-first and works without a connection. The app does not send your financial or planning records over the network. Network access is used for Google Play — to load available products and prices, to make and complete purchases, to restore or re-query your purchases, and to check your entitlement/subscription status — which may exchange technical billing and subscription information with Google. Camely contains no third-party advertising, no analytics or measurement SDKs, and no trackers. (Reminders you schedule are handled locally by your device and do not require a network connection.)
8. What we do not do
We do not: sell or rent your data; share your financial behavior with advertisers or data brokers; connect to your bank or ask for banking credentials; build advertising profiles; or require you to create an account to use the app.
9. Your choices and control
Because your data lives on your device, you control it directly: edit or delete entries in the app, delete backup files you created, and uninstall Camely to remove its on-device data. For questions about this policy, contact us at info@sakaynatech.com.
10. Children
Camely is intended for users who are at least 18 years old and is not directed to children. If you are under 18, please do not use the app.
11. Security
We protect your information with on-device storage, optional App Lock, encrypted user-controlled backups, and secure storage for sensitive flags. No method of storage is perfectly secure; please keep your device, screen lock, and backup passphrase safe.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy; we will change the "Effective date" above and, for material changes, note them in the app or on camely.app.
